Derek Patton is a commercial videographer and editor based in the Tampa Bay Area.  He relocated here from Tennessee having worked in Nashville and Chattanooga previously.

Derek Patton has spent over a decade working in media.  In 2008 his first roles were on a volunteer basis as a media tech at his local church.  He operated the church cameras, video switcher, and song lyric computers.  From that experience and taking broadcasting classes at his local community college, he was able to land his first paid television job in 2011.  Since then, he has worked at 5 television stations doing roles in: commercial production, editing, and videography.  Derek creates high quality content from the capture stage, to the final edit.  He has covered breaking news, major sporting events, entertainment news, and special projects.  Currently, he creates commercials for various clients.  

In his free time, Derek enjoys hiking, biking, travel, technology, and kayaking.
